The Challenge
Floor Five Theatre Company came to us to build a brand and website worthy of the stage. A theatre company's identity has to do what the art itself does — set a scene, create anticipation, and invite an audience in. The challenge was to design a mark that captured the drama and magic of live performance while giving Floor Five a distinct, memorable presence both on the marquee and online.

Our Approach
We found the whole story in a single letter. The logo draws its inspiration from stage curtains parting to reveal the "r" in Floor — a small, clever piece of visual theater that turns the company's own name into a performance. It's the moment before the show begins, captured in the identity: curtains drawn back, the reveal, the anticipation of what's to come. From that mark, we designed a website built to carry the same sense of drama and craft, giving audiences a stage-worthy first impression.

The Result
Floor Five Theatre Company launched with an identity as expressive as its productions — a logo that performs, drawing back the curtain in a way audiences instantly understand. From wordmark to website, the brand captures the magic of live theatre and gives the company a distinctive, ownable presence to build its audience around.
