The Challenge
After we completed the first iteration of the Be the One campaign, Franklin County, Ohio wanted to adapt it into a non-partisan public service announcement to run during the 2020 presidential election season. The task was simple but high-stakes: remind the people of Columbus how to stay safe when heading to the polls, reinforcing the precautionary steps that mattered most during the COVID-19 pandemic — washing hands, wearing masks, and practicing social distancing — all without a hint of partisanship, in one of the most charged election seasons in memory.

Our Approach
We worked closely with Franklin County's Public Health department, partnering with creative agency Soze and leading this second iteration as a subcontractor. We developed a full suite of assets built to meet people wherever they'd see them: generic and localized print, digital, and social media ads designed to run right up to Election Day. To carry the message across paid media, we also produced a set of videos — 30-second, 15-second, and pre-roll cuts — keeping the safety reminders clear, consistent, and impossible to miss.

The Result
Be the One reached Columbus voters at exactly the right moment — a clear, non-partisan reminder that helped residents protect themselves and their neighbors while exercising their right to vote. From print to pre-roll, the campaign turned essential public-health guidance into work that met the urgency of the moment: culture-first creative in service of community safety, when it mattered most.
